Doom metal with symphonic touches.

Genre: Symphonic Metal Year: 2009
Now officially a real band instead of just a music project, guest appearances are less frequent compared to their last release - Lucidity. However, this allows more chance for Delain to fully show us what they are capable of and demonstrate more of their own personality in the music. On the other hand, Marco Hietala (Nightwish, Tarot) is sti

They don't do anything revolutionary, but they just do it well. This is the debut of Bloodbound, though it doesn't sound like a debut at all as everything is done very professionally and it remains as my favourite Bloodbound album. In case you are wondering, Nosferatu means something along the lines of ugly vampire.

Second album of Heavy Metal band Bloodbound, but this time without Urban Breed as lead singer and instead, we have Michael Bormann. He has a good voice and the music writing is still good, though I personally prefer Urban...

Genre: Heavy Metal Bit Rate: 320
Despite their occassional Black metal corpse paint image, Bloodbound is a Heavy metal band, and a very good one too. This is their third album and former front man Urban Breed (who is also the new vocalist of Pyramaze) is back~

A hot front woman (Angel) who can sing well and a band that plays Symphonic Power Metal. Nightwish clone? Almost. Indeed, they are deemed as the Nightwish of Greece, but I think there's a bit more in them than just cloning. Give it a listen and you'll know what I mean.

Die-hard fans of the Metal Operas I & II may think Tobias Sammet can't make good metal music anymore. To me, Tobias is still a fantastic singer and his guest musician line up is as strong as ever while his song writing has matured, giving us a lot more variability and an amazing album!

Genre: Industrial Gothic Metal Bit Rate: 320
It seems to be a trend that each new Deathstar album gets a darker sound if it could get any darker, but here it is, and also harsher. As usual of Deathstar albums, the music is energetic, filled with synths and memsmerising.

Genre: Industrial Gothic Metal Bit Rate: 320
Featuring Deathstar's most famous track Cyanide, Termination Bliss's other tracks are by no means fillers. Whiplasher Bernadotte's voice is darker and deeper, the songs are catchier, more melodic and darker. You would certainly like it if you liked Night Electric Night or Synthetic Generation.

Deathstars play a brand of Gothic metal that is very distinctive with a lot of synthesisers as backup. Vocals are deep and dark with the occasional shriek, but also with catchy choruses. Personally, this i

Rebellion In Heaven sees a more mature Dawn Of Destiny and here they show that they are just not the average female fronted bands that are Nightwish wannabes. If you like European-Power Metal with all the catchy choruses, this will be ideal.

Some say this album is too similar to their previous album Character, but I think it's more of a natural continuation and the band is just doing what they do well.

Praised by many as the best Dark Tranquility album, the Swedish Gothenburg masters not only incorperates elements from their older works, but also makes more use of keyboards while vocalist Mikael Stanne has perfected his black/death vocals.

Once again with an amazing lineup of guest musicians, 01011001 is a science fiction like concept album. Musically speaking, the melodies are still impressive with good heavy metal riffs and catchy choruses, but this time it sounds more electronic and futuristic compared to The Human Equation.

Not really my cup of tea, but music is always subjective as I know a lot of people like this band and this album in particular. For me, it just seemed to lack the punch. Well... I've got it anyway so here it is. Maybe I'll get into them some other day.

Genre: Cello Heavy Metal Bit Rate: 320
Compared to previous albums, Worlds Collide sounds heavier to me, but a bit more synthetic rather than just raw cello and drums. It also features more songs with vocals (4 in fact) by guest musicians, including Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour), Till Lindermann (Rammstein), Adam G
